Canciones para cocinar

Canciones para cocinar - 2023

Taking the kitchen as an emblematic space in the domestic dimension linked to gender roles, the collective on stage articulates their own songs with theories and historical and current demands of feminisms, such as the struggle for the right to abortion, the fight against domestic violence, the body as resistance, the right to migrate, among others.

Building a live sound and visual universe, the performers move between songs, poems and essays through a multimedia staging.

Co-production: Parque Cultural de Valparaíso, Ex Cárcel, PCDV; Fundación Teatro a Mil FITAM; Azkuna Zentroa - Alhóndiga Bilbao; Hebbel am Ufer, HAU; and Festival Iberoamericano de Teatro de Cádiz, FIT.

Tanta impunidad - 2023

The song "Tanta Impunidad" was part of the performance "CHILE IS DEAD. Half a Century of Obscene Impunity", created by Organa Feminazi and Jose Ignacio. The song denounces the political-sexual violence of which women and people from the LGBTQIA+ community are victims, both in contexts of authoritarian and democratic regimes.

The performance took place on 09 September 2023 at the Caupolicán Theatre, as part of the commemoration of 50 years since the coup d'état in Chile.

La ciudad del futuro - 2022

A game and collective experience that takes place in the public space to answer the question: how do we imagine the city from the future? Rethinking urban and political organization in a collaborative way, and from a feminist perspective, is the aim of this proposal that addresses the moments of change we are experiencing as a territory.

La ciudad del futuro is a collaborative work between the LASTESIS collective and Delight Lab, a co-production with Fundación Teatro a Mil that premiered at the Santiago a Mil 2022 Festival, in the main squares of Santiago, Ñuñoa, Maipú and Valparaíso

RESISTENCIA

RESISTENCIA o la reivindicación de un derecho colectivo - 2021

Collaborative performance in public space created in residence in Valparaíso, through interdisciplinary scenic strategies. It involves the participation of around 80 women and people from the LGBTQIA+ community of different ages and backgrounds in a creative laboratory process. The work seeks to translate some ideas of Judith Butler, Paul B. Preciado and María Lugones, through a stage device based on the bodies and experiences of the participants. In the antagonism between repression and pleasure, death and celebration, denunciation and resistance, the performance seeks to address the vindication of the right to a life free of violence in a context of colonisation and active extractivism. Co-produced by Parque Cultural de Valparaíso (Ex-Cárcel), Fundación Teatro a Mil and HAU Hebbel am Ufer. RESISTENCIA has been presented in Chile in Valparaíso, Renca, Santiago, Ovalle, Talca, Rancagua; and abroad in Almada, Portugal; Cádiz, Spain; Guadalajara, México; Leeuwarden, The Netherlands; Zürich, Switzerland; and in Germany in Berlin, Wiesbaden and Hannover.

El violador eres tú

el violador eres tú - 2020

A small-format performance that brings together various reflections on sexual violence, specifically rape, using figures and statistics from our national reality, including the theories of Rita Segato and Virginie Despentes, the treatment of the media in these cases, and interweaving the intervention a rapist in your path by means of the technique of stage collage. The work articulates performance, sonorities and visualities. With nods to agitprop, LASTESIS seeks to encourage discussion around sexual violence and the demystification of rape from a feminist perspective, contributing to the denunciation of patriarchal structures and practices in our society.

el violador eres tú premiered in Valparaíso in January 2020 and has subsequently been presented at the "Festival Santiago a Mil"; at "Von Chile über Indien bis Deutschland - Geschichten von Frauen und Gewalt", Hebbel am Ufer HAU Theatre, Berlin (2020); at "Vanguardia feminista y movilización social latinoamericana", Stockholm University (2020); at the "XVII Fórum contra las violencias de género", Centro Cívico Urgell, Barcelona (2021); at the "Foro de arte y cultura de Jalisco", Guadalajara (2022); at the "II Encuentro de pensamiento situado des/constituyentes, prácticas e imaginarios por-venir", Museo de Arte Contemporáneo MAC, Santiago de Chile (2022); at the "Festival de Teatro Internacional de Manizales", Universidad de Caldas, Manizales (2022); at the "Festival de Teatro y Música COMFAMA San Ignacio", Parque Bicentenario, Medellín (2022); at “Dejadme la esperanza. Patriarcado y capital es alianza criminal

Patriarcado y capital es alianza criminal - 2018

Patriarchy and Capital is Criminal Alliance is a small-scale performance based on the book Caliban and the Witch by Silvia Federici (2004).

Using the technique of collage, the work links performance, sound and visual experimentation, generating a transfer of feminist demands raised from an academic-theoretical universe to a device for multiple audiences. The performers build the sound universe on stage, which is constituted from computerized sounds, extracts from popular songs, sounds of toys and sounds emitted and recorded on stage by the performers themselves, generating the base on which the declamation of the writings is sustained; accompanied by a physical proposal, supported by the production of pamphlets and a canvas as protest in situ, together with projections that reinforce the performative character of the staging itself.
